What To Expect

Hope Community Church is made up of real people with real joys and real struggles.  There are no perfect people here.

A typical Sunday morning worship service at Hope will run about an hour and 15 minutes and will include worship through song (guitar, keyboard, drums, etc) in a modern style, prayer, Bible reading, and a life-impacting message from our pastor or a guest.

During the service, there are programs for children age 3 – Grade 5.  The kids start the service with everybody else and an announcement will let you know when you can take your kids down for their classes.  There is a prevention plan for kids, so that you can always feel safe about their care during the service.  There is also a nursery program for infants and toddlers, and these children may be brought right into their care centre before the service, or with the rest of the kids.  An usher will always be available to steer you in the right direction, if you aren’t sure where to go.
People dress however they feel comfortable:  some people prefer to wear nicer clothes on Sunday mornings, others prefer jeans or shorts, and everyone fits in.   It’s air conditioned, and some find it cool enough to bring another layer.

While we do take up an offering each week as a part of worship, newcomers are NOT expected to give… you can if you’d like.  We’ll make sure that you get receipted for income tax purposes too, if you leave us your contact information.
